Responding to the requests of many ProMatrix users, we are pleased to announce that our first VPM Enterprise 9.1 live training session will be held on Tuesday, October 18, through Friday, October 21, in Tampa, Florida. Plus on Saturday, October 22, ProSysPlus will hold a Mastering xCase2VPM for VPME 9.1 session.
VPME 9.1 is a major overhaul of VPM Enterprise which provides immediate improvements to VPME and lays the foundation for future enhancements to VPME. The October training session is your opportunity to learn VPME 9.1 inside-out to make sure that you are using all the new features in VPME 9.1 to their fullest.

Class Size: We are limiting this training session to fifteen (15) participants to allow time for individual attention. Because of the number of ProMatrix users who have requested this training session, we expect that the session will sell out quickly. Consequently, you should register early to be guaranteed a seat.

VPME 9.1 & xCase2VPM Training Sessions for October, 2005

The October, 2005, VPME 9.1 and xCase2VPM training sessions will consist of a 3-day Mastering VPM Enterprise 9.1 session, a 1-day VPME 9.1 Solutions Workshop, and a 1-day Mastering xCase2VPM for VPME 9.1 session. All sessions will be of value to beginning, intermediate and advanced VPME users.

Mastering VPM Enterprise 9.1 - Tuesday thru Thursday, October 18 - 20, 2005

The 3-day Mastering VPM Enterprise 9.1 class is designed for anyone who is serious about making VPM Enterprise the foundation for their database application development. The main purposes of the Mastering VPM Enterprise 9.1 class are to teach:
  • The basic elements of Visual FoxPro that you need to know to create VPME 9.1 applications;
  • The basic steps to create a VFP application with VPME 9.1;
  • The changes and enhancements in VPM Enterprise 9.1.
  • How to create a complete VPM application in a way that uses VPME 9.1 most effectively;
  • The inner workings of VPME 9.1 so that you can modify and customize VPME when the need arises; and
  • How to use VPME 9.1 to create client-server applications with special emphasis on CursorAdapters.

VPME 9.1 Solutions Workshop - Friday, October 21, 2005

The 1-day VPME 9.1 Solutions Workshop allows you to obtain solutions for real problems and issues you have encountered while developing VPME applications. Suggested topics for the workshop are solicited from attendees in advance of the workshop. In addition, the ProMatrix staff includes topics that are known to be of interest to VPME users.

Mastering xCase2VPM for VPME 9.1 - Saturday, October 22, 2005

In the 1-day Mastering xCase2VPM for VPME 9.1 class, Hank Fay and Frank Camp of ProSysPlus will be giving their only planned live training session for xCase2VPM V2, which has been redesigned for VPME 9.1. This class will provide practical information on how to use xCase2VPM V2 as well as the technical background needed to guide decision making in the development process.
Bonus ProSysPlus Session: As a bonus, the last portion of the day-long Mastering xCase2VPM session will focus on moving applications to .NET using PSP2.NET, which looks suspiciously like xCase2VPM V2.

Class Location

The site of our October 18-21, 2005 training session is the beautiful Radisson Bay Harbor Hotel in Tampa, Florida. The Radisson Bay Harbor Hotel is a beachfront hotel on Old Tampa Bay. The Radisson Bay Harbor Hotel is located just two miles from Tampa International Airport and affords easy access to all central Florida attractions and the Gulf beaches.

The Radisson provides high-speed internet access, a swimming pool, fitness center, beach access and much more. Crabby Bill's Beach Club offers indoor/outdoor dining.
We have arranged a special water-side room rate of $99 plus taxes per night (both single and double). A block of rooms is being held for attendees.
